Customising a Form Template
While the backdrop of any form cannot be edited, it is possible to modify the interactive elements of a form as described below.
Once altered, it is possible to save the custom template for subsequent re-use.
If you are modifying a template that contains any calculations or buttons (Controlled by Macros), please ensure you do not remove any pages or fields.
If you wish to add blank or duplicate pages, these must be placed at the end of the document to maintain the integrity of the Macro coding.
Adding, modifying and removing Fill-in fields
V12.00H+ with ribbon style
- Select Insert>New Field
- A new field will appear in the middle of the form page in resize mode
- Move and resize to the position/size you require, then double-click to lock it in edit mode
- In edit mode, right-clicking and selecting Properties allows field behaviour such as line spacing, character spacing, character limitations etc. to be specified.
- To place the field back into Resize Mode, Select the field then Insert>Resize Field
- To remove a field, Select the field then Insert>Remove Field
Supported versions without ribbon style
- Select Insert>Add Field
- A new field will appear in the top-left of the form page in resize mode
- Move and resize to the position/size you require, then double-click to lock it in edit mode (right-clicking and selecting resize reverts the field to resize mode)
- In edit mode, right-clicking and selecting Properties allows field behaviour such as line spacing, character spacing, character limitations etc. to be specified.
- To remove a field, Select the field then Right-click>Remove
Adding blank pages

- Select Insert>Blank Page
- Select the location for the new page
- Click Insert. You will then be taken to the new page which has a full-page fill-in field.

- Select Insert>Append Blank Page
- Add a field, as above
- Right-click on the new page and select Properties to set position of the new page in the document.
Duplicating existing pages
V12.00H+ with ribbon style
- Select Home>Copy Page
- Select Home>Paste Page
- Select the location for the duplicate page
- Click Insert. You will then be taken to the duplicate page
V10.00T+ without ribbon style
- Select Edit>Copy Page
- Select Edit>Paste Page
- Select the location for the duplicate page
- Click Insert. You will then be taken to the duplicate page
V10.00T-
- Select Edit>Copy Page
- Select Edit>Paste Page
- The duplicate page will appear at the back of the form, right-click on the new page and select Properties to set position of the new page in the document
Deleting pages
V12.00H+ with ribbon style
- Select Home>Cut Page. You will then be taken back to page 1 of the document
V10.00T+ without ribbon style
- Select Edit>Cut Page. You will then be taken back to page 1 of the document
