The Land Registry has amended the Land Charges forms K1-K20 in accordance with the Land Charges (Amendment) Rules 2012 which came into force on 17th December. Practitioners should note that K10 and K16 remain unchanged.

In particular, these 2012 Rules substitute 'conveyancer' for 'solicitor' and revoke the use of Land Charges Form K14 on or after 17th December.

Although the Land Charges Department will process the current forms until 15th March 2013, conveyancers may prefer to use the latest versions of these amended Land Charges forms from 17th December onwards.

Please also find available a revised LRTP1_Expandable which has received a slight field amendment.

The SDLT60 is now obsolete but if your customers need to notify HMRC of a transaction then an SDLT1 should be completed or the information filed online.
