INFORMATION ONLY - NO FORMS TO IMPORT OR DELETE

From 16th January, the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) will introduce a new method of processing urgent applications when their Client and Cost Management System (CCMS) is not working.

The LAA will confirm if CCMS is unavailable by placing a "system outage" message on their telephone lines as well as on the LAA's online portal.

This change of approach by the LAA involves legal aid providers submitting urgent applications or amendments with a "contingency cover sheet" containing a reference code.

Legal aid providers must include this contingency reference code if they need an urgent application or amendment to be proceeded by the LAA.

The LAA will not be restoring paper processes and the contingency reference code can only be used for urgent cases.

Subscribers to this range who would like to obtain more detailed information about this new procedure should visit the training resources section of the LAA's website and scroll down to "CCMS Contingency Process" to download the relevant document.
