RTM1A - Company Objects and Model Articles for Right to Manage Companies

In July, the Communities and Local Government Department published a consultation paper proposing amendments to RTM1A to reflect the major changes implemented on 1st October by the Companies Act 2006.

RTM1A is a statutory form which is prescribed by the RTM Companies (Memorandum and Articles of Association) (England) Regulations 2003.

At present, no amending regulations have been approved by Parliament.

Companies House has advised us that they will not accept an old style memorandum and articles of association submitted in respect of new companies formed after 1st October which conflict with the provisions of the 2006 Companies Act.

We will publish any amendments to RTM1A as soon as Parliament has sanctioned the amending regulations.

Meanwhile, we recommend that customers explore alternative methods of creating RTM companies after 1st October with Companies House.
