The Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Forms)(Amendment)(England) Regulations 2002 have prescribed a new form number 4A to be used by landlords when proposing a new rent under Section 13(2) of the Housing Act 1988.

These changes flow from a consultation exercise which the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR) conducted last year after concern was expressed by registered social landlords that their tenants found the current form too difficult to properly understand.

The 2002 Regulations expressly permit either your current version of HA33, or the amended form to be used until 20th June but NOT thereafter when only the revised form should be used.

HA33 Landlord's Notice Proposing a New Rent under an Assured Periodic Tenancy or Agricultural Occupancy (s.13(2)) New/Amended
