The auto-backup facility in V10.02+

OyezForms 10.02u+ can automatically back-up active forms for document recovery if you are using windows 7 + (including vista). This feature will not work on windows xp.

When you are editing a form, Edit>Recover Auto-Backup > will display a list of its backup files by creation time. Selecting one will open it in a fresh tab as an unsaved document.

You can also view/recover all available backups via Tools> recover auto saved forms .... . select a form listed in the dialogue panel, select its backup version from the drop-down list, and click open. It will open in a fresh tab as an unsaved document.

Configuring Auto-Backup

The save frequency and retainment period can be configured in Admin(Tools in older versions)>options>auto-backup. You can set the number of minutes between each auto-backup, and the number of hours that backups are kept before auto-deletion.

The path to auto-save store can also be set. Auto-backup can also be disabled.

It is is possible to control the auto-backup facility via the registry.
