As a result of implementing a new information technology system for processing Trade Marks, the UK Intellectual Property Office has redesigned all its Trade Mark forms in response to feedback from customers and practitioners. Existing form TM21 has been replaced by new forms TM21A and TM21B. TM24C is a new form which performs the cancellation function of the old TM24 form. Phase one of the UK Intellectual Property Office's new system was introduced on 11th February and the amended Trade Mark forms could be used from this date which were advertised on EFIS No.3/2013. We have reissued the forms amended in February on EFIS No.3/2013 because the UK Intellectual Property Office has changed the logo on all its forms. Phase two of this new system will be implemented on 1st April 2013 and the following Trade Mark Forms TM3, TM3A, TM4, TM11, TM12, TM13, TM16, new TM16P, TM17, new TM21A, new TM21B, TM22, TM23, TM24C, TM25, TM27, TM28, TM29, TM31C, TM31M, TM31R, TM33, TM33(P), TM35, TM36, TM50, TM511 should be used from this date. More detailed information about these changes in practice and procedure can be viewed on the Intellectual Property Office's website at www.ipo.gov.uk.
