PRO36B - Personal Representative in (other than 'London Gazette', 'The Times', 'Daily Telegraph', 'The Guardian', 'Yorkshire Post' and 'Birmingham Post')

N2 is a new form, which caters for Probate claims where a claimant disputes another party's interest in the deceased's estate.

N2 can be issued either in a county court or in the Chancery Division of the High Court. Practitioners should note that outside London, N2 can only be issued in the District Registries of Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Preston.

N3 is the Defendant's acknowledgement of service of N2 upon him or her and N3 enables the Defendant to indicate his or her willingness to defend the action.

Both N2 and N3 cannot be used before 15th October.
