The Land Registration Rules 2003 have represcribed a number of existing Land Registry forms to reflect the provisions of the Land Registration Act 2002. Both the Act and the Rules will come into force on 13th October 2003. More detailed information is contained in the Land Registry's "Action Packs". ** Includes Expandable ble version.

However, in addition to the above forms, there are a number of new forms which the Rules have prescribed for use from 13th October, along with non prescribed notices which the Land Registry has produced under the 2002 Act which are listed overleaf. We have tried to indicate to practitioners where new forms replace current forms in your existing range.

Although the Land Registry will permit old forms (in certain circumstances) to be submitted until 13th January 2004, practitioners are advised to use these new and amended forms from 13th October in order to become familiar with the new procedures introduced under the 2002 Act.

The Land Registry has also amended LREND1 which is included on this disk.

The National Assembly for Wales passed the Commons Registration (General) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2003 which increased the fees payable in respect of searches of the registers of common land of towns and village greens from 1st May.

The Commons Registration (General) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2003 come into force on 1st October, from when increased fees become payable in England, as well as Wales. The amended version of CR21 is also included on this disk.

Finally, CON14E has been modified to reflect changes in terminology used in the fourth edition of SCS1.

Also, CON30, CON30A, CON30B, CON30C and CON31 have been updated in accordance with the Land Registration Act 2002.

Practitioners ought not to use the forms included on this disk before 13th October.
