The Land Registration (Amendment) (No.2) Rules 2005 have represcribed existing Land Registry forms LRAP1, LRAN1 and LRUN1 to take account of the introduction of the Civil Partnership Act 2004 on 5th December. In addition, these Rules prescribe three new forms for use on or after 5th December. LRHR1, LRHR2 and LRHR3 effectively replace the current Matrimonial Home forms LRMH1, LRMH2 and LRMH3 and the Land Registry has drafted LRHR4 which replaces the current LRMH4 form. These forms need to be deleted from your system(s) AFTER the 5th December 2005. Rule 19 of Part 5 of these Rules permits the current versions of LRAN1, LRAP1, LRMH1, LRMH2, LRMH3 and LRUN1 to be used for a transitional period of three months after the Rules come into force on 5th December, except where LRMH1 is used to register rights arising under a civil partnership. The Land Charges (Amendment) Rules 2005 represcribe Land Charges forms K2, K8 and K13 to take account of the Family Law Act 1996 and the Civil Partnership Act 2003 and the Land Registry has amended K1 to take account of these changes. Since these Rules will also come into force on 5th December, practitioners should not use their current versions of these forms after this date. Finally, we have also taken this opportunity to make minor textual amendments to the CR19 and add form LRDL-Expandable [NEW FORM] to the range.
