NO FORMS TO IMPORT - OBSOLETE FORM WITHDRAWN

On 16th April, Companies House announced that from 26th May, there will no longer be a requirement for a newspaper which is not incorporated as a company to file an annual return or notify the Registrar of Companies House of a change of proprietor under the Newspaper Libel and Registration Act 1881.

The Deregulation Act 2015 revokes sections 7 to 18 and Schedules A and B of the 1881 Act on 26th May because the majority of UK newspapers are incorporated as companies and so the requirement for the Registrar of Companies to maintain a register of newspaper owners has been repealed.

The existing form NLR1 will therefore be withdrawn from Oyez's range of Companies forms from 26th May as NLR1 will no longer be needed to file an annual return or notify Companies House of a change of newspaper proprietor.
