On 1st October, a new Practice Direction will come into force which introduces a pilot scheme for "legal bloggers" to report on proceedings in the Family Court. This pilot scheme will run from 1st October until 30th June 2019. For more background information on the operation of this new scheme, please visit the article below on the Law Society's website at: https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/law/legal-bloggers-allowed-to-report-on-family-proceedings/5067304.article In order to facilitate the operation of this pilot scheme, Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) has designed two new forms. FP300 enables an educational charity to attend family cases which must be authorised by the President of the Family Division. FP301 is a notice of attendance at family proceedings by a lawyer who is authorised to do so. Family law practitioners should only use FP300 and FP301 for the appropriate situations outlined above on and after 1st October.
