The Housing (Right to Buy) (Limit on Discount) (England) Order 2012 prescribes a maximum discount in England of £75,000 from 2nd April. This 2012 Order also revokes the Housing (Right to Buy) (Limits on Discount) Order 1998 which set different levels of discount across the English regions for council tenants buying property under section 125 of the Housing Act 1985. The introduction of one figure for the whole of England means that we no longer need to publish the Right to Buy Discount Provisions notes which accompany HA4A and HA4B. Housing law practitioners should therefore use the amended versions of HA4A and HA4B for notices served in England on or after 2nd April. We understand any changes to the discount in Wales will be subject to amending legislation by the Welsh Assembly. Please also find available AGREE6, AGREE7, HA21, HA21A, HA32, HUD2, and L&T61 which have all received slight field amendments. All forms can be used immediately.
