*NO FORMS TO IMPORT OR DELETE-INFORMATION ONLY*

The Non-Contentious Probate (Amendment) Rules 2018 will come into force on 27th November.

Subscribers to this range may access these 2018 Rules by following the link below to the Stationery Office's website at:-

www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2018/1137/contents/made

The Explanatory Note at the end of this statutory instrument prescribes the procedure for the online submission of a statement of truth by personal applicants through an online portal which will eventually replace the existing forms of oath.

In addition, these 2018 Rules make miscellaneous amendments to the existing 1987 Non-Contentious Probate Rules.

According to information which the Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester District Probate Registries (DPRs) distributed towards the end of last week, the DPRs will continue to "....accept the forms of oath for the time being."

Since Oyez is currently waiting for more information from the DPRs regarding changes which they propose to make to the current form of oath(s), we will keep you informed of developments when the DPRs have clarified their change in procedure(s).

Meanwhile, subscribers to this range who would like or need further information about these Rule changes should contact their local DPR.
