INFORMATION EFIS - (FORMS ONLY AVAILABLE TO WORD SUBSCRIBERS)

On 11th October, the Law Society announced the publication of two new model commercial leases which can be used alongside the existing, shorter Law Society Business Leases, LS1(PART)(REG), LS1(PART)(UNREG), LS2(WHOLE)(REG) and LS2(WHOLE)(UNREG).

The Law Society has created these two new forms to provide a more simple approach to straightforward leases which aim to strike a fair balance and so help to improve the negotiations between the landlord and tenant.

They have been designed for relatively short periods of up to ten years and anticipate only one rent review during the period commercial premises are let.

Unlike these four existing business leases, Oyez has had to publish LS3 and LS4 in WORD format because the Law Society has designed their new model forms for commercial leases to be used as "templates" which should be
"...altered to reflect any requirements that are specific to the property, parties and terms of the transaction."

Subscribers to this range will only be able to access the WORD versions of these two new forms if they have Oyezforms version 10.00L or above and if the forms are delivered using Active Library.

In order to receive managed WORD templates via OyezForms, you will need to subscribe to Oyez Software's WORD module. Please call the Sales Department on 08450 175517 Option 3.

A list of templates which are available in WORD can be accessed below at:-
