The Legal Aid Agency has made miscellaneous amendments to the legal aid forms when the Criminal Legal Aid (Standard Crime Contract) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 will come into force on 1st April.

Subscribers to this range are therefore requested to use the latest versions of these amended forms for completion on and after 1st April.

Any claims which are signed before 1st April should be completed on the existing versions of these forms and submitted to the Legal Aid Agency for processing by 30th April.

However, the latest version of ECF1 should not be used before 4th April and so legal aid practitioners should continue to use the current version of ECF1 for applications completed until 3rd April.

Forms COC and LAWS1 now have field labels added.
