On 13th June 2014, the Consumer Contacts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2014 came into force.
These new regulations apply to retainers entered into on or after this date, including conditional fee agreements where clients should be advised of their right to cancel in certain circumstances within 14 days.
The Law Society has amended their PICFA and PICFA_Guide in the light of these 2014 Regulations.
