On 30th September the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) changed its method of payment to Barclaycard's Smart Pay online system.

In future, the IPO will require all completed trademark, patent and international patent applications to be submitted with the appropriate fee sheet in the format of FS2, FS3 or FS4.

We recommend that intellectual property practitioners use FS2, FS3 and FS4 for completed applications which are sent to the IPO after 30th September.
