Companies House has amended the DS01 and its continuation sheet to reflect changes to these forms which the Small Business Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 introduced after receiving Royal Assent on 26th March.

In particular, Companies House has amended DS01 to reflect the abolition of 'bearer' shares as the 2015 Act makes it an offence for a company which has issued this type of shares to apply for striking off the Register.

Since this provision regarding 'bearer' shares does not come into force until two months after Royal Assent was granted, Companies House has indicated that these latest versions of DS01 and its continuation sheet should not be used until 26th May.

Subscribers to this range should therefore continue to use the current editions of DS01 and its continuation sheet until 25th May.

Forms SH06 and SH06(CONT) have received a macro enhancement and should be used immediately.
