On 26th August, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) published a news item on their website at www.hmrc.gov.uk/news/august.htm.

HMRC announced that in December, the existing helpline number of 0845 302 0900 will no longer be used and all calls to HMRC's help lines would need to be made using 0300 1231 072.

In preparation for December's deadline, HMRC has amended the helpline number and changed its website address from www.gov.uk/cto to www.hmrc.gov.uk/inheritancetax on the following forms :-

IHT100, IHT100(ALL), IHT100a, IHT100b, IHT100g, IHT 205(2006), IHT207(2006), IHT30, IHT35, IHT38, IHT400, IHT400(all), IHT400C, IHT401, IHT402, IHT403, IHT404, IHT405, IHT406, IHT407, IHT408, IHT409, IHT410, IHT411, IHT412, IHT413, IHT414, IHT415, IHT416, IHT417, IHT418, IHT419, IHT420, IHT421, IHT422, IHT423, IHT430, IHT500, IHTC5(2006), IHTC5(OUK)(2006), IHTD32, IHTD36, IHTD39 and IOV2.

Although we understand that HMRC will release the amended versions of these forms on their website on 10th November, HMRC will continue to accept the existing versions of these forms until December.

Oyez will supply you with the latest versions of these Inheritance Tax forms later this month when HMRC has approved Oyez's versions of these official forms.
