On 10th July the Security and Immigration Minister released a written statement in the House of Commons which announced changes to the Immigration Rules.
In particular, the Government has aligned the Immigration Rules on family and private life with the consideration of the public interest which is contained in section 117B of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002.
This alignment has been implemented by section 19 of the Immigration Act 2014 which came into force on 28th July.
As a result of these changes, the UK Visas and Immigration Section of the Home Office has published a consolidated version of the Immigration Rules as "Appendix FM" which can be viewed online at:- https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-rules-appendix-fm
The Immigrations forms FLR(FP) and FLR(M) have been updated. We will supply you with these amended forms during the course of August.
Finally, the UK Visas and Immigration Section of the Home Office amended the Immigration form SET(O) on 21st July, and we will also provide you with this form in August.
