The Housing (Right to Buy) (Limit on Discount) (England) Order 2014 prescribes a maximum discount within London of £102,700 and £77,000 outside London for an initial period from 21st July 2014 until 5th April 2015.

This change has necessitated amendments to HA4A and HA4B.

The latest versions of HA4A and HA4B should only be used in respect of applications in England made on or after 21st July. Practitioners should contact the Welsh Assembly to clarify the position in Wales.

After the initial period expires on 5th April 2015, paragraph 2 of this statutory instrument prescribes that any increase from 6th April 2015 will be calculated by the percentage change in the consumer prices index which is published by the Statistics Board in September each year.

Subscribers to this range must satisfy themselves what the correct figure is for the maximum discount when completing HA4A and HA4B.

Following the Ministry of Justice's recent changes to the Civil Procedure forms N1 and N208, we have subsequently amended L&T100, L&T101, L&T102 and L&T103 to mirror the changes to N1 and N208 and also updated the statement of truth on L&T106 and L&T107. Subscribers are requested to use these amended forms immediately.
