You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.
As part of the Family Justice Review and the introduction of the new Family Court in 2014, the Ministry of Justice has started a pilot scheme to test the effect of a new 26 week rule for care proceedings.
Children Act form C110A is a new form for use in this pilot scheme which local authorities can use if their local area participates in the pilot scheme.
The Public Law Outline Allocation Proposal is part of the pilot scheme which we understand will be phased in
over a period of months so different court areas will start the pilot scheme on 1st July, 5th August, 2nd September
and 7th October.
Local authorities which decide to use C110A or the Public Law Outline Allocation Proposal should check that their local area is participating in the pilot scheme.
More detailed information concerning Practice Direction 36c which sets out the Pilot Scheme for Care and Supervision Proceedings under Part 4 of the Children Act 1989 can be viewed online at www.justice.gov.uk/downloads/protecting-the-vulnerable/care-proceeding-reform/practice-direction-36c.pdf.
