The Law Society has produced a third edition of its model form for a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA).

This new CFA reflects the rules which were implemented on 1st April by sections 44 and 46 of the Legal Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 and the Conditional Fee Agreement Order 2013.

From 1st April, clients who enter a CFA will have to pay the success fee and any after-the-event (ATE) insurance premium from their damages.

The third edition of this CFA replaces the 2005 edition with immediate effect.

This form should be used immediately.
