INFORMATION ONLY - NO FORMS TO UPDATE

On 22nd November, a written Ministerial statement outlined a number of changes to the Immigration Rules which came into force on 13th December.

These latest changes have led the UK Border Agency to amend the FLR(BUS), FLR(M), FLR(O), SET(BUS), SET(DV), SET(F), SET(M), SET(O), NTL, TIER1(GENERAL), TIER1(GE) and TOC forms.

In addition, the HPDL form has been renumbered as a DL form.

This latest Statement of Changes to the Immigration Rules stipulates that if an entry clearance or leave is submitted before 13th December and the application has not been decided before that date, the UK Border Agency will determine the application, in accordance with the previous Rules which were in force on 12th December.

Although the UK Border Agency will accept current versions of the amended forms until 3rd January, the Company's office will be closed from 24th December until 2nd January.

Due to the number of amended forms, practitioners are unlikely to receive the amended versions of these Immigration forms until later in January. Further information can be obtained from the UK Border Agency's website at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk
