The UK Intellectual Property Office has amended TM17 to reflect new requirements for requesting a merger of trade marks which came into force on 1st October under Rule 3 of the Trade Mark Rules 2008.

Intellectual property practitioners should note that requests for mergers received on the current version of TM17 will be accepted until 31st December 2012.

Any requests for mergers submitted on or after 1st January 2013 must be made on the amended version of TM13.
