The UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) has amended TM7 and TM8 by deleting the question at box 7 on TM7 and box 9 on TM8 which related to a preliminary indication.

In future, any request for a preliminary indication should be made in writing. The Hearing Officer will consider all the circumstances of the case before deciding whether or not to issue an indication.

The current editions of TM7 and TM8 will only be accepted until 19th July.

Intellectual property practitioners may prefer to use the latest versions of TM7 and TM8 before the expiry of this transitional period.
