You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.

INFORMATION ONLY – NO FORMS TO UPDATE

On 18th March, the UK Border Agency confirmed that significant changes to TIER1 of the points based system will come into force on 6th and 7th April along with changes to marriage visas for members of the armed forces, asylum seekers and English for speakers of other languages.

In addition to potential amendments to the TIER Forms, Immigration practitioners are advised that the Immigration and Nationality (Fees) Regulations 2010 will come into force on 6th April.

Immigration practitioners should satisfy themselves if a fee is payable in respect of any form which they submit on or after 6th April by checking the UK Border Agency’s website at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk .

This is because the 2010 Rules introduce new fees for indefinite leave to remain applications from dependent relatives under paragraph 317 of the Immigration Rules.

Regulation 12 of the 2010 Rules also introduces an additional fee to reflect the cost of processing applications from dependents by requesting applications to pay a further charge on the main application form.

Although we anticipate changes to the TIER1 and TIER4 forms, it is probable that other Immigration forms will also be amended on 6th April.

We will therefore supply you with the amended forms as soon as all the relevant information is known.
