***FORM DELETION ONLY - NO FORMS TO UPDATE***

In an announcement on its website, the Land Registry has confirmed their intention to withdraw the facility in Land Registry Direct for lenders to discharge registered charges by way of ENDs on 3rd January 2010.

This decision has been taken because Land Registry Direct will be decommissioned in the spring of 2010.

Any LREND1 forms which have been sent to the Land Registry before 3rd January will remain on the Land Registry’s database until the paper application for discharge in either LRDS2 or LRDS2E has been received.

As a result of this change in procedure, conveyancing practitioners should no longer use LREND1 on or after 3rd January.
