The relevant fields on EX80A and EX80B which automatically calculate the payment of VAT have been adjusted to reflect the increase in VAT to 17.5% for forms submitted on or after 1st January 2010.

For more detailed information on how these changes will apply, civil legal aid practitioners should consult www.legalservices.gov.uk/civil/remuneration/guidance_vat_change.asp

Since the increase in VAT does not come into force until 1st January 2010, practitioners should not use the amended versions of EX80A and EX80B until the new year.
