In order to help prevent the registration of fraudulent applications, the Land Registry will introduce identity checks for certain types of application where the parties to these transactions are not legally represented.

As a result, the Land Registry has amended LRID1 and LRID2 which will replace the current editions from 3rd March when LRID3 will become obsolete.

The Land Registry will withdraw LRID3 because elements of LRID3 have been incorporated into the new editions of LRID1 and LRID2. LRID3 should not be used on or after 3rd March.

The amended editions of LRID1 and LRID2 must be used from the 3rd of March.

Please also find enclosed the SDLT6 which has been amended by HM Revenue & Customs.
