On 14th January, the Legal Services Commission launched the Litigator Graduated Fee Scheme (or LGFS for short).

The Legal Services Commission created the LGFS to pay litigators for Crown Court work. More detailed guidance about LGFS can be found on the Legal Commission’s website at

The Legal Services Commission has drafted LF1 and LF2 for use under LGFS. LF1 should be used to claim for all types of fees in the Crown Court but LF2 should only be used when a dispute arises about the level of fee paid and the fee is then subject to a review.

Both forms can be used immediately.
