EFIS 27, July 2007 : Conveyancing
You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.
The Home Information Pack (No.2) Regulations 2007 will introduce home information packs (or HIPs for short) for certain types of property on 1st August.
These Regulations stipulate that the Index and Sale Statement are “required” documents which must be included in every HIP compiled on or after 1st August. HIP1 and HIP2 have been drafted by the Government to meet these new rules.
HIP3 and HIP4 are forms which the Government has drafted, being “authorised” documents which can be included in a HIP but which are not compulsory.
None of these HIP forms should be used in conveyancing transactions before 1st August.
Please also find enclosed the form CON3 which has been updated to provide customers with more space when completing the form.
