Pursuant to our publication of the new range of Adoption forms for use under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 towards the end of last year, an issue has arisen concerning the use of the old Adoption form A6 in Wales.

The new Adoption form A58 replaces Adoption A6 in proceedings begun in England on or after 30th December 2005.

However, we understand that the old Adoption form A6 may still be required in Wales until such time as the National Assembly implements the provisions of this 2002 Act in Wales.

We have taken this opportunity to update forms A55 and FP6 which have had minor amendments and are available for your immediate use.
