EFIS 67, November 2005 : Immigration - Applications

Regulation 3 of the Immigration (Procedure for Formation of Civil Partnerships) Regulations 2005 sets out the procedure to be followed for overseas applicants to create civil partnerships in the United Kingdom.
Although the Civil Partnership Act 2004 will not come into force until 5th December, Regulation 3 of the above Rules will come into force on 14th November to enable applicants to obtain the permission of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate of the Home Office to form a civil partnership in the United Kingdom.
This amended form should only be completed on or after 14th November and must be accompanied by a postal payment of Ł135, when COA is sent to the Immigration and Nationality Directorate of the Home Office.
