HMRC have requested that we drop 'NEW' from the heading �ABOUT NEW LEASES� as it was causing problems and does not accurately reflect what was required.

HMRC have also asked that we emphasise the importance of a barcode being present on every page of submitted SDLT1 forms. Missing barcodes will result in the form being rejected.

We recommend customers print the entire SDLT1 form in one action for submission, and do not insert any older pages.

For clarity, this latest revision of SDLT1 will print 'Agent's Copy - Not for Submission' across the bottom of each page when this is appropriate.

Furthermore, HMRC have stated that they will no longer accept any earlier versions of SDLT1 received after 8th October 2005.

In order to avoid future rejections of SDLT1 submissions, please ensure your form library is up to date. The latest version of our SDLT1 form has 'v2.1' marked clearly on the footer of each page.

Please use this new version immediately.
