EFIS 43, August 2005 : Probate

You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.

We have amended our Probate Estate Provisions (PEP) Sheet to reflect an increase in the threshold to Ł275,000 at which Inheritance tax becomes payable. This increase was originally announced in the Budget and brought into force on 6th August.

We have conducted a review of our range of Probate forms and have made some minor amendments to the Probate forms listed above.

These changes have not been driven by any legislative amendments so the current versions could continue to be used, indefinitely.

However, because these amendments enhance the use of these forms we recommend that practitioners may prefer to use these revised forms on receipt of this update.

Form PRO8 has had minor amendments and is available for your immediate use.

Form PROPEP2005 has been revised and replaced by PROPEP2005(REV). Therefore, PROPEP2005 should be removed from your system(s) immediately.
