EFIS 41, August 2005 : Licensing

You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.

The Licensing Act 2003 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2005 prescribed Licensing forms LIC3b, LIC3c, LIC3d and LIC3e for use from 7th February. The Licensing Act 2003 (Second Appointed Day) Order 2005 has confirmed that the second appointed day will be 24th November 2005.

Licensing form LIC3a is prescribed by regulation 8 and Schedule 4 to the Licensing Act 2003 (Personal Licences) Regulations 2005 for use from 7th February to the 6th August 2005.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has stated that people who want to convert their existing licences must do so by 6th August in order to preserve their existing rights under the 1964 Licensing Act
(so called "grandfather rights").

Failure to apply to the local licensing authority(s) by 6th August means that licensees must apply for a new licence and may not enjoy the same opening hours.

Since practitioners may not be able to submit Licensing forms LIC3a, LIC3b, LIC3c, LIC3d and LIC3e after 6th August, we suggest that customers check with their local licensing authority before deciding whether or not to delete these five forms from your system.
