Enquiry 10 on CON293 has been updated to include a reference to any Commonhold properties owned by the company which is being sold.

The current edition of CON293 may continue to be used in respect of companies which only hold freehold and leasehold property.

However, practitioners may prefer to use the amended version of CON293, which is available for your immediate use.

On an unrelated matter please note that form CR19 has had minor amendments and is available for immediate use.

Finally, we are re-supplying form SDLT1 which has macro amendments/improvements. We recommend users run OyezForms V8.06H+. Practitioners may find the following submission notes useful:

OUTPUT METHOD A - COMPLETE SUBMISSION:

1. Usual option if you have completed Field 4 (Effective Transaction Date), and the Client is ready to sign the Declaration.
2. Barcodes will be produced
3. This option can also be used if the Agent is acting for the Client under Power of Attorney

OUTPUT METHOD B - TWO STAGE SUBMISSION:

(i) Agent's Copy for Client Signature

1. For obtaining a client's signature prior to Filling Field 4 (Effective Transaction Date)
2. NO barcodes will be produced, this version is for Agent's records, and not for submission to the Inland Revenue
3. The Agent must subsequently sign a separate barcoded copy on their client's behalf (stage ii)

(ii) Agent's Final Submission

1. Once the Client's signature is obtained (stage i), and Field 4 (Effective Transaction Date) is filled, this option allows the Agent to sign and submit a barcoded version on the Client's behalf
2. This option will result in an altered declaration box and is not the same as acting under Power of Attorney (see A, above)
