On EFIS 6/2004 in February of last year, we advised you that EP2 had been represcribed by the Court of Protection (Enduring Powers of Attorney)(Amendment No.2) Rules 2002.

The Public Guardianship Office has been working on modifications to EP2 in order to make the form compatible with a new computer system which will enable information submitted on EP2 to be "scanned".

Although the Public Guardianship Office will continue to accept the version of EP2 supplied to you last year, the new version is being launched on the 14th May and practitioners may therefore prefer to use the edition contained on this EFIS.

There have also been alterations made to the CP5 and NL(1) and NL(2). The amount of the commencement fee has been removed from the CP5, for the current fee please contact the Court of Protection, Public Guardianship Office. The postcodes on the NL(1) and NL(2) have also been amended. Minor textural amendments have also been made to the CON36ECT.

These forms can be used immediately.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: In order for form EP2 to be accepted by the Public Guardianship Office, a barcode must appear in the top right hand corner of the form. If you are unable to generate this barcode, you are required to update your version of OyezForms to V8.05F. For an update, please visit the Program Update section within this site.
