The Adoption (Amendment) Rules 2003 amend the 1984 Adoption Rules from 1st June 2003, following the Government's implementation of the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 and ratification of the 1993 Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Co-Operation in respect of Intercountry Adoption.

The Adoption (Amendment) Rules 2003 prescribe a new form HCNO15A which is an application to the High Court, alleging that an adoption order made in a foreign country was not valid for certain reasons which are specified on form HCNO15A.

Finally, please find enclosed form EX160, which has had minor textural amendments.

All forms can be used immediately on receipt.
