In conjunction with other organisations and Government departments, the Joint Working Party of The Law Society and Local Government Association have conducted a radical review of 29(1994) which has resulted in 29(1994) being separated into two forms.

29_PI(2002) Standard Enquiries largely reflect the Part I Enquiries currently submitted on 29(1994) whilst 29_PII(2002) Optional Enquiries predominantly mirror the Part II Enquiries found on 29(1994).

Whereas 29_PI(2002)Standard Enquiries should be submitted alongside LLC1 in all cases, by contrast 29_PII(2002) Optional Enquiries should only be lodged at the same time as 29_PI(2002) when relevant to certain types of application and location of property.

Guidance notes explaining these changes in greater detail accompany both forms and practitioners may like to read the recent article on page 40 of The Law Society's Gazette dated 15th June which explains the background to these amendments.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NEW FORMS ARE NOT TO BE USED BEFORE 1ST OF JULY

Form 29(1994) has been made obsolete and should not be used after the 1st July 2002. Please read deletion instructions below.
