EFIS 17, April 2002 : Limited Liability Partnership
You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.
The Limited Liability Partnerships (Particulars of Usual Residential Address)(Confidentiality Orders) Regulations 2002 provide that members of limited liability partnerships may apply to the Secretary of State for a confidentiality order. Although these Regulations came into force on 2nd April, Companies House has only just approved these forms.
If granted, this means that members of a limited liability partnership will not be obliged to state their usual residential address. Instead they may stipulate an address for service, as their usual residential address will be kept on a separate secure register with access permitted to certain "competent" authorities only.
Existing versions of LLP2, LLP2 Cont, LLP288a, LLP288c, LLP363a, LLP363cont may continue to be used by practitioners whose clients do not wish to apply for a confidentiality order.
However, the amended versions of all these forms can be download from the website for use where members of a limited liability partnership want to apply for a confidentiality order, in which case only these revised forms can be used.
