The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has amended the above-mentioned forms and created a new PF34 form to reflect changes which the Patents and Patent Fees (Amendment) Rules 2017 will introduce on 6th April.

The IPO has amended the search fee on PF9A and added a new section to allow the applicant to declare the number of claims in an application.
The IPO has amended the fee for a substantive examination on PF10 and added a new section to cater for the number of pages of description in an application.
PF15 has also been added to the range and some tick boxes have been added to PF21 to improve the clarity of PF21.
PF34 is a new form which reflects changes made by the new 2017 Rules which the IPO has introduced to collect the grant fee which consists of any outstanding excess claims or fees for pages.
These latest versions of F9A, PF10, PF21 and the new PF15 and PF34 forms should be used for applications which are submitted on and after 6th April.
