EFIS 79, August 2014 : Legal Aid

You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.

The Civil Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) (No.4) Regulations 2014 came into force on 31st July.

Regulation 2 (3) and 2(4) of this statutory instrument amends the Legal Aid Family Advocacy Scheme by introducing ther concept of an "advocate's bundle" and specifies "bolt-on" fees to be based on the size of the advocate's bundle instead of the court bundle.

These procedural changes have led the Ministry of Justice to amend the terminology used in EX506 to reflect these 2014 Regulations.

Although we understand that the Ministry of Justice has instructed Court staff to accept the existing version of EX506 until they are notified otherwise, subscribers to this range may prefer to use this latest version of EX506 immediately.

Please find form CIVAPP8 which has received macro amendment.

Both forms can be used immediately.
