As a result of queries generated by court staff and users in relation to concessions 2 and 3 on EX160 and EX160(N), the Ministry of Justice has amended both the form and accompanying guidance notes.

In particular, the Ministry of Justice has sought to clarify the definition of what constitutes “income” and the supporting evidence required, to substantiate reliance upon concessions 2 and 3.

Although Practitioners have been able to use the current edition of EX160 where their client is eligible for a full remission of court fees under concession one, we recommend that practitioners now use the amended version of EX160 and EX160(N) immediately upon receipt.

The Ministry of Justice has amended N149 and N150 following changes which the Civil Procedure Rule Committee has made to each form to reinforce the availability of alternative dispute resolution.

These latest versions of N149 and N150 should not be used before 1st April to coincide with changes to the Civil Procedure Rules.

Finally we have taken this opportunity to make minor field amendments to the N1 and N119.
